Learn how to safely carry out manual handling operations

Developed by professionals in the field, the course material consists of videos, diagrams and written instructions. The entire material of the course is in accordance with the guidance published in the MHOR (Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992) and with the UK Health and Safety Legislation. The information you learn is equivalent to a CIEH Level 2 Syllabus.

Delivery drivers, heavy manual laborers and workers at warehouses, factories, construction sites, and agricultural farms will especially benefit from this training course

In the Manual Handling Training Course, you will learn:

  1. What manual handling is and what are the risks associated with it
  2. The injuries and long-term damages that could be caused during manual handling and how to avoid them
  3. The legal duties of employers and employees in workplaces where manual handling operations are carried out
  4. How to identify manual handling hazards and determine who is at most risk
  5. What measures can be put in place to reduce the risk
  6. The safest techniques to handle and move heavy loads
  7. What protective equipment you must wear when managing heavy loads
  1. The Manual Handling training course is 3 hours long
  2. The course is accredited by CPD (Continuing Professional Development) and the RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents)
  3. At the end of the course, you will have an online assessment. The assessment has 20 multiple choice questions and you can pass if you score 80%.
  4. After you complete the assessment, you will receive a certificate through post. Although the certificate has no expiry date, the industry guidelines recommend that you renew your certificate after a year.
